Co-net is an artist residency program which revolves around the photographic medium. Based in Oropesa, between the Mediterranean sea and the Castellan mountains, the residency aims to connect artists from different backgrounds together through their practice, workshops, seminars and discussions whilst working on individual and collaborative projects. Co-net aims to create a dynamic net of local and global artists in the region of Valencia and Castellon.
Co-net works in partnership with Universitat Jaume I, the Imaginaria Festival (Castellon) and the University of Arts of London.

Our Mission:
co-net's mission aims to create a platform which facilitates relationships amongst practicing artists but also between artists and different art institutions such as museums, galleries and associations. We believe that this platform will allow to increase collaboration and ease the access between co-net members.
Our residency program aims to offer the place for artists to express themselves and develop a project which revolves around the photographic medium. Our residency encourages artists to push the boundaries of this medium by questioning its essence but also its evolution in a contemporary context.
Through a series of activities such as institutional and galleries visits but also, one-to-one discussions with local artists and curators, we aim to create a dynamic platform with a horizontal structure.
